lpg cylinder testing 1Statutory regulations require LPG cylinders to be inspected and tested every 10 years to ensure they are in a safe working condition.

This not only includes Automotive LPG cylinders but also 0.5kg, 1.25kg and 2kg camping LPG cylinders, 15kg and 18kg forklift LPG cylinders, 4kg, 5kg, 9kg BBQ bottles and 45kg, 90kg, 190kg and 210kg domestic-industrial LPG cylinders.

Westend LPG Cylinder Testing can retest Australian Standard approved gas cylinders up to 500kg capacity. Our mobile on-site service is available for testing and repairs on the larger 45kg, 90kg, 190kg and 210kg cylinders.

We also offer a drop-off and pick-up service for the smaller sized portable gas cylinders (LPG bottles), normally with an efficient 2 to 5 day turnaround. Rydalmere drop off address available on request.

LP Gas Cylinder Safety

In Australia Gas cylinders are required be re-certified every 10 years. Filling damaged or out of date cylinders is illegal and can be dangerous. Out of date cylinders must not be filled until they have been tested and re-stamped by a Certified Gas Cylinder Test Station.
